The Foremost Series: Babar Ali’s remarkable education project

Following yesterday post I thought it would be a good idea to present individuals who Allah Almighty called “Foremost”.

Today I’d like to share the story of one schoolboy who is transforming the lives of hundreds of poor children. Though the story aired on BBC last October, its worth remembering to get us inspired.

Babar took upon himself the duty to teach hundreds of students in his family's backyard, where he runs classes for poor children from his village, in Murshidabad, West Bengal.

It is a remarkable tale of the desire to learn, amid poverty. Baber leads by example; it’s a humbling story that encourages everyone to do good, even with minimal resources.

Watch the report here, and share with me your thoughts.
