I used to wear very pale earthy colours, so to end the habit of buying gloomy clothes that didn’t match my cheerful nature; I took a friend with me to shop and told her to select what she thought was suitable for me. I ended up going home with a rainbow. Jackets, shirts and skirts in pinks, blues, oranges, and yellows.
You may shy away from very bright colors because you don’t want people to stare or think that it’s not modest. Some people will stare regardless of what you wear. As for modesty, I think action speaks louder than what is on you.
Now my favourite colours are blue, pink and purple. When I put them on I feel so lively and of course remember my colourful friend Nihal.
